Markham Fall Fair

When I was young I went to the Markham Fair almost every year. This year, my wife and I went and met up with some other friends. I took A few images of some older farm equipment.

This is an old stationary steam engine. I took quite a few of these. I explored various shutter speeds to get a good balance between showing some motion blur to give you a sense of motion.

The first tractor I can remember running when I was a young lad, was a W-6. I think I was about 6 years old at the time. My father and brothers were picking and hay bays and loading them onto a wagon, while I pretended to drive! They occasionally would hop on the back and help me out. We weren't traveling very fast so it really wasn't as dangerous as it might sound. I loved that old tractor and still have a special feeling for the W-6.
