Orchids

Orchids are the largest family of flowering plants. The family produces many beautiful and highly varied blossoms - and a few ugly ones too! Hawaii is a major producer of Orchids and you find them most anywhere. We had two flower leis while we were there, one was made from Plumeria and the other from Orchids.

The following series of images were taken in the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden, Papaikou, Hawaii. The same place as yesterday's waterfall. All were taken with my 70-200 lens with the Canon 500D 77mm Close Up Lens attached. Available light was used in all cases.

By the way I have only shown the pretty ones.
