Praise the Lord.

By my best guess I will have been working in technical ministries for 40 years in 2014. The first job I recall was a cameraman for our local cable TV community channel.

For more than 15 years I have been the technical director at UAC. I this photo I am sitting at a pair of audio mixing consoles (Yamaha M7CL and DM1000). I have spent countless hours in this seat over the years.

Other than my day job and my father job, this is the thing I have probably spent my most time working at. So a suiting way to finish my week of selfies.

I was setting up to do a thoughtful self portrait in the midst of a family gathering. I was thinking of contemplation in the middle of controlled chaos. I got more than I planned on ... my neice, Sherri provided a little bit of uncontrolled chaos. I didn`t even know she had done it until I checked camera after the shot. I wondered why people were laughing at me!

I have now been practicing martial arts for over 12 years, so it makes a good subject for a selfie. I am holding a bokken - a wooden sword used for practice.

53Weeks 360 of 371: Iced Maple [selfie3/7]

My Iced Maple tree and I. I have two large maple trees in my yard. The older one in the front yard is quite sprawling and I was really concerned that it might suffer significant damage, but it fared quite well. The younger one in the back yard (40`tall) is a goner. The main trunk has a 6`vertical split.

Catching up on last week`s images. The theme is the word of the year - selfie.

 As those who live in the great lakes region are likely well aware we had an ice storm last weekend (before Christmas). I spent several hours up in a maple tree taking care of the damage. But when on solid ground I slipped on the ice and feel - just a sprained wrist.

53Weeks 358 of 371: Hoodman [selfie 1/7]

The oxford dictionary has announced that the word of the year is 'Selfie'. So this week I will make seven self portraits. / I picked my hoodie for today and I spent a good portion of the day wearing it for warmth as a cut down my Maple tree damaged by the ice storm. Time for bed. I hurt.
