"The Boys of Summer" refers to a books by Roger Kahn about the 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers. So when looking for a summer themed image, baseball was high on my list.
I think Jimmy is the players name, he was the pitcher for his team. I think he made it safe to first. This brings up a lesson for me when doing sports - I need to take notes. One of my other images is of an RBI tripple, but I don't remember which one.
