Project365 199: Clover Field

This week's theme is going to be agriculture, so images this week will feature aspects of local Ontario farms.

To start with here is a field of Clover. I had little idea about why one would grow clover, but I know my dad did grow it occasionally. Often mixed with hay for a feed crop. I doing some reading, I find that it is also useful to improve the nitorgen in the soil for another year. One other use is to provide nectar for Honeybees, but I didn't see any beehives near this field.
