When presented with an image one should be able to identify the main subject. It is not always something traditional. For example the subject of this image is the pattern of repeating squares.
I submit that it also qualifies as a minimalist image because there are not very many components to it.
The dual tone processing and framing was done in Silver Efex Pro 2.
