Project365 040: Fenced

How do you make an interesting picture of a rectangle? I my concept was to add something else to the frame. In this case it is headlights and taillights of cars in a parking lot.

To achieve the effect I used a wide open aperture - f/1.4. Becuase the fence was to be in focus, and there wasn't much to focus on I turned off autofocus. As I was trying to frame up the shot with the right blend of coloured lights in the background I turned slightly to my right. Mistake! I forgot to adjust my focus. As a result the fence on the left side is not the sharp lines like I had envisioned.
