So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.
Luke 2:16-20 (NIV)
A week ago we were at a family get together. My wife was holding our new grandniece, who at the time was about as active as a drop of water on a hot grill. When she saw me getting in close with my camera she knew what I was after - perhaps better than I did.
At the time, I didn't know what I was going to do with the shot, but then as I was trying to decide what to post today - after a long period of blog-silence. I decided this would make a pretty good image for Christmas Eve.
A very Merry Christmas to all.

P.S. When taking photos of Christmas morning - don't forget to get in close.
