A Roman Aquaduct

This is located in the city of Montpelier, France. A very fascinating structure. I think I could have study it for the better part of a day, but only had the better part of an hour.

The curves and repetition of form are both appealing.

Although this was taken in midday light, I can imagine the it would cast some interesting shadows on the right days at the right times . It runs mainly to the west with a slight northward direction. One difficulty may be finding an open area upon which the shadow could be cast. It turns to the south-west at the far end. One might also be able to frame a sunset or sunrise in one of the arches.
