Terry talks about photography. I regularly post photos that interest me and discuss hints and tips that I discover through my own journey.

Getting close to people.
I am comfortable shooting landscapes, architecture and animals, but always find it awkward when the subject is people. Up close people. A far away crowd I can distance myself from an treat it more abstract, but up close is tough. A long lens helps but still I find that zooming in tight is still somewhat like standing right in their personal space.
I have been fortunate to having a few willing victims^H^H^H^H^H^H^H volunteers. This is one I like a lot. It was shot in a low light 1/50 F5.6 ISO800, and handheld while she was singing, so I am fortunate that it was only somewhat soft.
