Panansonic versus Everplay

It is ironic that these two press releases came out on the same day.
Panansonic launches world's smallest LCD projector: Digital Photography Review ...
The PT-P1SD can display the following kinds of still images on an SD card: ...
* JPEG files created from Microsoft® PowerPoint® files using Panasonic Image Creator
1.5 conversion software.
The PT-P1SDcan display the following kind of moving pictures on an SD card:
* QuickTime Motion JPEG files recorded with a Panasonic LUMIX digital camera."

and the annoucement from Fuji, Kodak and Konica-Minolta about Everplay.

Panasonic obviously wants their projectors to work with their cameras. The other three want to play nice and support a common standard. Bad Panasonic. Good Fuji, Kodak, and K-M.

I won't be buying a Panasonic projector any time soon. (But I did buy two competitors projectors last year and will likely bu two more this year.)
