We have had a bit of a reprieve from the cold in the last few days, and another cold snap is coming. Nonetheless we are trending warmer. Spring is coming. And then warm summer nights.
Terry talks about photography. I regularly post photos that interest me and discuss hints and tips that I discover through my own journey.

In a Meadow
I had been trying to capture a decent shot of a deer in the wild for awhile. This was my first real success, and to date still my best.

Black Capped Chickadee
One of my favourite bird photos. I love the bluish bokeh background. Shot with my cheapie 75-300mm lens @300mm f/5.6. If I had any regrets there would be two. One this was before I shot Raw, so I can't get much more out of the jpeg. The other is that I wish I had used a flash to bring out more of the dark detail.

Small but beautiful
I don't know the name of these beautiful little flowers, and at the moment I can 't find my field guide either. But I think they are an aster. This is shot with the 500D macro adapter. The flower head is about the size of a loonie.

It is not where you travel, but what you see where you are.
Another 2007 candidate. This image was shot in my front yard in the Spring of 2007. I love the vibrant colours this tulip offered in the sunshine.

What bugs you?
This is one of my candidates from my best of 2007 collection. It could have been sharper, but it was done handheld with the 500D macro attached so am lucky with any sharpness at all.
